Let me introduce myself, my name is Catherine Barolo.  I am a 40 year old happily married mother of three sons and one daughter.  Here’s my story…

 

            During my third pregnancy, and a little older and  wiser, I realised when I was feeding the only maternity underwear were soft fabric cups that went out of shape and showed off my breast pads you could also see the indent of lace through practically all of  my tops.  That was when I went looking  for a T-shirt type maternity bra.  I needed something smooth, yet functional that looked like a “normal” bra.  Well the search turned up nothing.  It was as if the whole maternity industry was either cheap or nasty, or was too expensive.  The $40 to $80 maternity bras were out of the question as I knew I would need at least five, and with a growing family, I had to watch my pennies! So  in my lounge room, out came needle and thread, and I made the mix of a T-Shirt bra with the functions of a maternity bra. 

 

             I put it on and everything I had ever wanted had been found.  I of course showed all my friends and they too loved it.  I finally had smooth shape, lift, no unbalanced looking breasts after each feed, and definitely no tell tale signs of a breast pad.

 

             Out came the phone book and I found a 100% Australian owned company by the name of Slim Form.  They too said no one really looked at maternity underwear.  I told them they should!  I said “I know this will be loved by all women of all shapes and sizes”.
