The three time Telstra Business Award finalist has now taken her dream to the next step - she opened her own maternity lingerie store last week.

A MELBOURNE mum of four who was inspired to start her own business when she saw a gap in the maternity wear market has been shortlisted for the Telstra Business Awards.

Catherine Barolo was pregnant with her third child when she decided to create her own maternity bra after tiring with the options available in stores.

Ms Barolo founded her business Didge Designs by creating a non-wired, padded maternity T-shirt bra.
